About Me

First of all, I'd like to thank you for coming to visit my blog. I hope you can find what you're looking for. Here's a little something about me if you wish to know more about the person behind the screen that's writing all of these posts. If you already know me and are just updating yourself with what's been happening in my life, I thank you and appreciate your concern. For those who found any of my posts interesting or on a search engine, I hope the knowledge that I am able to pass down is helpful and hope that you'd continue to share it with others. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me.

I apologize for the narcissistic array of my photos on display, but I think these are necessary to tell you the type of person I am. I was born in Singapore, spent 22 years in Singapore and came to Korea for studies after finishing my National Service. I am loud, noisy, annoying at times, but otherwise finely put as outgoing. I enjoy group outings as well but more towards 1-to-1 or smaller group meet-ups. I have a small close bunches of friends and they're the best anyone can find. My family is small, just my dad, my mum and I. They mean the world to me and currently, they're still residing in Singapore.

My first name is really common in the world and so is my surname. Jonathan Lee is my name, and since it's such a long one, people usually give me nicknames such as LeeLee (Lily) Flower Sushi Bun, which I was called from the ages of 9 - 12. Peh Hor (No hair) from the ages of 13 - 15. I have a few dreams in life, most of which does not put me in a position where I sit behind a desk and work 10 hours a day and reply e-mails via my phone on rest days.

I want to be the owner of a cafe/guesthouse. I really love working in the service line, but the working hours are long and the salary is minimal. I believe that if you're working for someone and want to be the most passionate employee ever, you need to work for yourself. Next, at a point in my life, I wanted to be a journalist, and if possible, photographer/journalist, therefore combining 2 favorite things in my life: writing and photography. Now, as my life keeps unraveling, I see this as a potential career in my very near future.

I play the occasional basketball and tabletennis. Most of the time, laziness outweighs the interest and so I end up using Instagram, Facebook, and blogging. I enjoy exploring new things and toeing the line now and then, but more importantly, I enjoy sharing what I know and writing what I've experienced.

I was under the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) and studied in Korea for 5 years. This scholarship has been generously and graciously granted to me and I do hope I made the best out of those 5 years to grow as much as possible, learn as much as I could, and experience the culture to its fullest.

I hope you've enjoyed getting to know me, and I would love to get to know you as well.

If you'd like to collaborate or have any inquiries, do not hesitate to contact me!
